- Install in areas where it is necessary to detect whether there are people,such as living rooms and bedrooms (please refer to the Motion Sensor detection distance in the manual when installing);
- It can be placed on the surface of coffee table 、shoe cabinet 、desk,etc.,but must be close to the edge (recommended installation height is 1.2m ~ 2.0m);
- Do not place it on a metal surface,and do not place obstructions in front of the Motion and Light Sensor P2.
- Please do not install it on smooth and moisture-prone surfaces such as ceramic tiles 、glass 、marble to avoid the adhesive from falling off;
- Please do not install it on the surface of high-temperature 、heating objects such as lighting tubes to prevent the adhesive from falling off;
- Please do not install it on rough 、uneven surfaces such as wall coverings to prevent the adhesive from falling off;
- Do not face heating objects such as electrical appliances when installing to avoid false triggering caused by infrared interference.
Press and hold the button of the device for 5 seconds, the indicator light flashes fast, release the button within 3 seconds, the device reset is complete.
- Operation error,please refer to the device adding method again and add the device again;
- The distance from the hub is too far and the network communication effect is poor. Move the device closer to the hub and then add the device again;
- The hub device used does not support the Thread protocol. Please choose a hub that supports the Thread protocol according to the official introduction.
Yes,if you don’t want to be triggered by pets,you can install the Motion and Light Sensor P2 in a higher place according to the detection range diagram described in the manual,so that the sensor will not be triggered when pets are active on the ground. (Please refer to the manual for specific installation mode).
- There are heating objects in the detection area of Motion and Light Sensor P2 that interfere with infrared detection;
- Motion and Light Sensor P2 detects hot and cold air flowing with a large temperature difference in the detection area.
Possible reason:
- The device is far away from the hub and the communication effect is poor. Please move the device closer to the hub;
- The battery is low or dead,please replace it with a new battery;
- Equipment mounted on metal surfaces, signal interference.
Possible reason:
- The PIR probe or lens is damaged;
- At this time,the device is in the trigger interval;
- The device is offline,please confirm whether the connection between the device and the hub is normal.
Detection time interval"is to set the shortest trigger time from the previous"someone passing"event to the next"someone passing"event. The motion time interval is 1 minute,that is,after detection someone,it will not be detection again within 1 minute. Someone is moving. The illumination detection interval is 30 seconds.

Motion and Light Sensor P2 supports up to 5 ecosystem being added at the same time (Apple Home counts as 2 ecosystem).
